The Fundraising Page of Jill Christensen

On any given night in Minnesota there are nearly 20,000 people who have no home. They sleep in tents, on benches, in sheltered bus stops, in an unlocked car, on someone's couch, or ride public transportation all night. Many people walk by and shake their heads; thinking "get a job" or "clean up your act." Because I hope people in Portland, Oregon are treating my homeless sister battling schizophrenia with compassion, I feel compelled to help those struggling in Minnesota facing similar circumstances. When I compare our lives, coming from a home where we were raised by the same wonderful mother and shared the exact same opportunities, I feel blessed God did not give me such an arduous path.
