Campaign to Support HOPE 4 Youth
Thank you for your interest in adopting a family for the holidays. By adopting a family, you are helping their wishes come true for the upcoming holiday season!
Who can adopt a family?
Anyone can adopt a family on behalf of your own family, on behalf of your religious or social organization or on behalf or your employer or business.
What is the monetary commitment?
The commitment is to spend $50/ family member for their gifts. The suggestion is to choose one $30 item and two smaller items for each family member from their wish list. When you choose to adopt a family, you are choosing to purchase for the entire family. You may choose one family, or several families and we will match you up based on the information you provide. For example, your monetary commitment for a family of 3 is $150. There is an option to provide a $25 - $50 gift card for the family as well.
How will I know what to purchase?
Once you have completed and submitted the response form, HOPE 4 Youth will match you with a family. You will receive their wish list that they have completed for each member of their family. The wish lists will not have names for confidentiality reasons.
Do I need to complete all purchases before bringing in items?
Yes, we do need all purchases to be brought in together for each family. For example, I am assigned family #22, which has one adult and two children. I purchase/ order and gather all items together into a box, and label that box “Family # 22” and then drop off the box.
When are items due?
All Adopt-A-Family items must be received at the HOPE 4 Youth admin office, 2191 Northdale Blvd, Coon Rapids, no later than December 6. Boxes can be dropped off during regular business hours, Monday – Thursday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. When dropping off family boxes, please have all items unwrapped, with the family number clearly written on the box that you use to bring the items. There will be additional evening and weekend dates for drop off, announced at a later date.
Should I wrap items?
Please leave all gifts unwrapped. You are welcome to provide wrapping paper, gift bags and other supplies for the family, but it isn't required.
Who do I contact if I have more questions?
Contact Nikki Kalvin, Manager of Community Engagement at 763-323-2066 ext 102 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
